Need for Speed Unbound’s release is fast approaching, and we’re getting more details on the game before its release on December 2. With systems such as Meetups and Side Bets, the game is shaping up to be a solid entry in the Need for Speed franchise.
Need for Speed Unbound Steering Wheel Supported at Launch:
EA released useful information on the game’s steering wheel support. It’s a racing game after all, which is why it’s been tested with various steering wheel models, including:
Thrustmaster T300RS (PS5, PC)
Thrustmaster TX (Xbox, PC)
Thrustmaster T150 (PS5, PC)
Thrustmaster TMX (Xbox, PC)
Logitech G29 (PS5, PC)
Logitech G920 (Xbox, PC)
Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel (PS5, PC, Xbox)
While these are the only models that Criterion Games tested the game with, you can expect your steering wheel to work just as it would with any other racing game, even if it wasn’t mentioned. Be sure to set the steering wheel to your user profile and you’re good to go.
EA also revealed NFS Unbound’s accessibility settings. These settings are helpful for people with visual impairments and the like.
ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES:
We’ve got a suite of accessibility options for you in the Main Menu -> Settings -> Accessibility
- Menu Narration (On or Off)
- Subtitles (On or Off)
- Story Game Difficulty (Relaxed, Challenging, Intense)
- Colorblind Mode (On or Off)
- Use Chat Speech to Text (On or Off)
- Chat Text Size
- Camera Shake (A slider to adjust the amount of shake)
- Motion Blur (On or Off)
- Lighting Control (On or Off) – Reduces intensity, frequency, and luminosity of flashing lights in certain instances.
These additional settings should come in handy if you’re not a fan of blurred movement when driving at high speeds, or if you get motion sickness from the camera shaking. The chat text size setting is also helpful if you can’t read messages without moving closer to the screen.
